It targets accumulated debris that can impair circulation, reduce heat transfer, and cause cold spots on radiators.

Function & Purpose

Over time, central heating systems can accumulate a mixture of ferrous sludge, corrosion particles, scale, and magnetite in radiators, pipework, and the boiler heat exchanger. This debris restricts flow, reduces efficiency, and can lead to noisy pumps, poor heat distribution, and premature wear. Sentinel X400 works by breaking down and dispersing these deposits into the system water so they can be carried to a drain or flushed out via a magnetic filter or drain point.

Compatibility

X400 is suitable for use in sealed central heating systems, including combi, system, and conventional boilers. It is formulated to be compatible with common materials found in heating circuits—such as copper, steel, and aluminium—when used according to product instructions. X400 is typically added before flushing the system and before adding long-term corrosion inhibitors.

How It Works
